Mary J. Roque

Mary Roque has a passion for working with the aging population and believes in a community wide collaborative effort to approach and needs and interests of families. She has been an attorney since 1990 and has practiced in the areas of elder law and trusts and estates since 2008. As part of her practice, she conducts elder law and estate planning clinics in councils on aging in the Metro-West area. Her speaking engagements in the past four years include:

She has recently launched a non-profit, Elder Resource Center Inc. for the benefit of families in Metro West and Boston providing a one stop shop for elder needs including referrals to professionals in financial planning, accounting, law and housing.

For 8 years, she was a real estate consultant in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and Boston, Massachusetts (2007-2008). She collaborated with community partners to build over 100 units of housing for low income elderly and families using equity raised from low income housing tax credits, bond issuances and local, state and federal resources.

She is member of the Boston Bar Association Trusts and Estates section and Civil Rights section.

She received the Massachusetts Family Institute Citizen of the Year award in 2012.

She has hosted two cable programs on Medfield TV-“80 is the new 40” and “Life Choices”.

A graduate of Providence College and Creighton University School of law, she is a native of Foxboro and now lives in Boston. She is a volunteer coordinator of programs for Bayridge Residence for Women in the Back Bay. She is also an allied attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom.
